The Revival: A Rob Zombie Transformation

This piece is more than just a frame makeover— it’s a symbol of creative resurgence.

After Visiting Eloquence Antiques, my passion for thrifting was rekindled, something I hadn’t indulged in for over two years. That thrill of discovering forgotten treasures, giving them new life, and making them uniquely mine came rushing back. Soon after, I found this beaded looking frame the size of a CD cover at Goodwill, another overlooked relic waiting for its second chance.

As a Rob Zombie fan, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: Preserve parts of the Iconic CD album I got for my new car years ago. Instead of junking up my home by keeping it laying around or throwing away my favorite CD art I decided to preserve it and put it on my wall of art and oddities. The original frame housing a traditional fruit print making a 3D effect— was stripped of its past and given a bold, glossy black finish, transforming it into a nu-goth look with a simple black repaint nothing fancy but completley in tune with the eerie aesthetic of Zombie’s music and films.

But this project became more than just a display piece. It made me feel alive again, The process, the transformation— it awakened the creative back into me. A craving for creation This was the moment when my love for antiques, thrifting, and reimagining forgotten pieces truly took hold, setting me on the path I’m on now.

This wasn’t just a frame redo. It was the spark that ignited my obsession with transformation. It was also what ignited my own transformation in life.
